October is the 10th month in the year. It is the opening of Fall. October is the 1st month in the West section of the Rainbow Medicine Wheel. It is in the body section of the Wheel. The colors for the month are bold ones, for this section is the physical section of the Wheel.

The color for October is Orange and the West section color is Blue.

October is in the West section of the Rainbow Medicine Wheel. This section's color is Blue. When you use Blue in your life this month, it is the energy of Introspection (self knowing, coming from within the self). The Blue from this month reminds you that the actions of October are Physical actions.

Orange is the month color and your Medicine Color. The Orange Medicine Words are Balance, Success, Choice and Energy. These are the words to use as your Medicine Words to heal and guide your life this month.

Blue is the complementary color and the Lesson Color. The Blue Lesson Word for this month is Solid. You can use the Orange Medicine Words to treat the Lesson of the month, or use the Blue Medicine Words, which are Truth, Healing, Proof and Understanding.

In the Wheel, the Lessons are the stones that make up the cross that spans across the middle. Each stone represents a word and the connected Lesson. These are the Lesson Words for the months of October, November, and December. If you are having trouble in your life these are the Lessons you are to be learning. You treat a Lesson with the Medicine Word of the same Color Medicine.

Example: Lesson word is Purpose, a Red Lesson. You would treat it with the Red Medicine word Nurture.

Medicine Words and Colors treat the Lessons of the month. They give guidance for hard times. They aid in positive thinking when you are ill. These words and colors compliment the Lesson Words.
