Purpose ........................................................... 7
"Yes. I do," the rock replies. "I am One Who Knows. The hole is a place that takes you within my knowledge and through which you can see. Take me back into he world, on your earth walk. When you're lost and lonely and can't see your way, hold me up, look through the hole and pay very close attention. You'll become aware of everything around you and you'll understand where you are."
Following your vision is a choice that allows you to know yourself in a rich and full way. As you unlock the doors of your vision, a self-dedication grows. Walk your vision. Know the Truth and take the chance. Reach for the moon, sing the song - and the joy within your vision.
He points to the four lines on the right. "This is your place of spirit. Recall." He touches the four lines and they change to red. "Confidence. It will take confidence to understand. You'll be called to have a tremendous amount of strength. Nurturing and compassion will come. Absolute is what is so."
He turns and walks towards the sun, motioning for me to follow. I go deeper into the color. Mist engulfs me as I follow him.
Young eyes look at Grandfather with a questioning look. "Why is it, Grandfather, that we do not speak of Red Eyes and we do not know of the shadows? Why don't we want to know about what is there?"
On the ground I see a grand spotted eagle feather. Beside it I see the pawprint of the bear. I turn and look: there stands a large bear, sun shimmering on black hair, and within I see the blue.
It seems she is looking through smoke as she says, "The truth is the arrow, the white arrow, the way. I seek that white arrow, I seek that way. I long for sacredness to be born, for respect to be allowed. From these prayers, I find you. In the cold, and elder I recognize, a sister of the animal circle, a keeper of wisdom."
"As and old growth I give you knowledge from the spirit world, that to have Mother Earth there must be a continual cycle of seeing, hearing, knowing and doing. We stand long in the forest and listen to the stories that are recorded within us. The vastness of life is what we are, and we pass that on to the next and the next."
I stand, and start to walk through the canyon. A wind swirls around my feet, raising and spinning the sand around me. It blows in my eyes and I see little sparks of energy; shimmering shades of gold and orange flash in front of my face.
A strong wind engulfs me. It removes the hawk creature from my presence. As he leaves, his feet become talons that cling to the air, and his wings lift him high above me. He disappears in the powerful wind. Before me are the trees.
There is a sigh from the voice. "This is a good thing. To accept the unusual is the first passage to growth. There re four passages you must make to achieve the green star."
"You're on the path to truth. You're heading towards the blue stars, the place of healing. You're going to pass one of the most powerful places, the Pond of Reflection. The still waters of reality are on this path. Many come around here seeking the river that leads to the Pond of Reality: a place where people come to find their proof, to seek out their clarity. This is the path that you're on."
"Yes," she says. "You are more when you pull from the wisdom within. When you truly walk with bear medicine, you reach deep inside the pool of truth. In that pool is what wisdom is about. Come with me."
He shifts in the moonlight and looks at me sharply. "You have no control, or need for control, in the spirit world. All is yours to pull from and to know. The lessons are peace--they are yours to hold and to walk with. From the edge I watch you struggle and seek your control. Speak to me of your vision. Tell me what you know."
As she moves towards the spirits who are dancing around the fire, they part, making a pathway. We walk close to the spirits, and at that moment all four in the center of the circle leap up above the fire. They hover together as one--one full moon, one side dark and one side light, a quarter on one side, its mirror on the other. Coming back to the ground, they dance around the fire again.
"It's a long way to where Grandmother Wolf lives," I reply. I look down the river and there stands a gorgeous black horse of enormous power. "I will carry you to Grandmother Wolf," he says. "Hop on my back and we'll ride. Come now. Grandmother wishes to speak."
